The catcher and the rye, first 3 chapters

So far im really liking it. I am actually reading ahead and am on chapter 8 which is not a common thing for me to do with assigned reading. I am still trying to figure out Holden and decide whether or not he is supposed to be the "good" guy. I don't really relate to Holden because of the fact that I dont try to be anti-social just to stand out, which i think he is doing. He seems even more concieted than his roommate just because he talks about almost every single person as if he is better than them and that he for some reason has a higher purpose and meaning in life.
I do like the style of writing too. I'm not sure if I have read a book that uses this style, but I find it easy enough to follow and it definetely makes the book more interesting.
